Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage a highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure to support our SaaS product, ensuring best practices in security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead the implementation of innovative cloud services and solutions, including serverless architectures, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Partner closely with development teams to architect, optimise, and continuously improve CI/CD processes, deployment strategies, and automation.
- Mentor team members, act as a technical leader within the team, and collaborate with strategic stakeholders while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Proactively research, evaluate, and integrate emerging cloud technologies and tools, driving the continuous evolution and improvement of our cloud environment and practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with ownership of complex, production-grade cloud environments.
- Strong background in cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS, with experience designing scalable and resilient architectures.
- High proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Extensive experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, lead technical decision-making, and support less experienced engineers.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills and proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders across engineering and business teams.
