Leidos is hiring an AWS Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain automated systems for provisioning and overseeing AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Operate and monitor production systems hosted in AWS and Salesforce platforms.
  • Set up and manage network configurations and security policies in AWS and Salesforce, including integrations with external systems.
  • Support round-the-clock call center operations using Amazon Connect for interactive voice response and call routing.
  • Ensure ongoing system visibility and health monitoring through observability tools and practices.
  • Enforce compliance and security by implementing and tracking audit controls in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to enhance automation for continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Engage in sprint and release cycles, deploying features to non-production environments and resolving production issues.
  • Ensure system availability and compliance with defined service level agreements.
  • Assist development teams with integrating automation into workflows.
  • Oversee operations in AWS and Salesforce ecosystems, including maintenance, releases, and incident resolution.
  • Provide technical support across multiple development and testing environments.
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS that is scalable, secure, and optimized for cost.
  • Automate environment changes using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, along with scripting in Bash or Python.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to support frequent and reliable software releases to production.
  • Attend technical coordination meetings to advance program goals.
  • Maintain integrations with third-party systems such as FHIR-based EHR APIs, Okta for identity management, and other external tools.
  • Keep accurate records of software and system configurations.
  • Partner with cybersecurity personnel to implement approved, hardened configurations in cloud environments.
  • Manage software installations and license inventories across all environments.
  • Establish standardized architectural patterns used across the program.
  • Apply DoD STIGs to systems deployed in AWS GovCloud when required.
  • Monitor emerging AWS technologies and suggest system enhancements.
