AECOM is hiring an Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader - Americas

About the Role

This role leads the development and execution of technical standards and best practices for aviation engineering projects across North and South America. The individual will support project delivery, provide technical guidance, and foster professional growth within engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the advancement of aviation engineering methodologies across the region
  • Ensure consistency and quality in technical deliverables for aviation projects
  • Mentor and develop engineering professionals across multiple locations
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve complex technical challenges
  • Promote innovation in aviation infrastructure design and systems integration
  • Represent the practice in client engagements and technical reviews
  • Establish benchmarks for engineering performance and project outcomes
  • Guide compliance with aviation regulations and industry codes
  • Support business development through technical positioning and proposals
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee the adoption of new technologies in aviation engineering workflows
  • Coordinate with global practice leaders to align technical strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes and tools
  • Champion sustainability and resilience in aviation projects
  • Evaluate emerging trends in airport infrastructure and airfield systems
  • Lead technical training programs for engineering staff
  • Review high-complexity project designs for safety and efficiency
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, planning, and construction teams
  • Develop technical position papers and thought leadership content
