Responsibilities
- Perform on-site assessments and analyze workflows to determine robotic cell configuration, tooling requirements, fixturing needs, and safety perimeter design
- Create comprehensive integration documentation including I/O schedules, wiring schematics, and hazard analyses
- Work alongside mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to specify and source peripheral components such as grippers, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and safety devices
- Write and debug robot programs using the company's proprietary development environment, including motion planning, force regulation, and vision-based object pickup logic
- Connect robotic systems to PLCs, HMIs, MES platforms, and enterprise ERP software using common industrial communication standards like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus TCP
- Execute factory and site acceptance tests, identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software issues prior to handover
- Install and validate safety-critical systems such as laser scanners, light curtains, safety mats, and collaborative operation monitoring based on force and speed thresholds
- Manage field installation and startup activities, coordinating with customer operations, maintenance staff, and production personnel
- Design and deliver customized training materials for operators and maintenance technicians, adapted to the customer's technical capability level
- Generate accurate final documentation including electrical diagrams, I/O listings, robot program archives, and standard operating procedures for maintenance
- Offer remote and in-person technical support during warranty and post-deployment phases to resolve system issues
- Log and analyze field problems, reporting root causes and recommended fixes to product development and engineering departments
