Responsibilities
- Investigate physical mechanisms behind shifts in boundary layer turbulence, cloud formation, convective systems, precipitation patterns, and interactions between land and atmosphere.
- Use satellite and ground-based observational datasets along with machine learning techniques to evaluate and enhance global storm-resolving models.
- Carry out simulations using cloud-resolving models or large-eddy simulation frameworks.
- Engage in the planning, development, and implementation of scientific research projects aimed at solving specific atmospheric science challenges.
- Develop independent research directions that align with broader team goals while collaborating with internal and external scientific experts.
- Work effectively within interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared research objectives.
- Disseminate findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences, seminars, or technical gatherings.
- Travel as needed to maintain coordination and collaboration with research partners.
- Carry out additional tasks as determined by supervisory staff.
