Responsibilities
- Conduct structural member sizing using LRFD and ASD methods in accordance with AISC 360, including checks for bending, deflection, and stability under static and dynamic loads.
- Evaluate environmental and operational impacts such as wind, seismic, and thermal forces on ducting system structures.
- Generate detailed 3D models of exhaust ducting, internal liners, and supporting steel frameworks.
- Verify that all designs comply with AISC 360, ASCE 7, AWS D1.1, and relevant international building regulations.
- Support fabrication processes by reviewing shop drawings, responding to technical queries, and resolving material discrepancies.
- Collaborate with mechanical and pipe stress engineers, project leads, and drafters to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Produce well-organized structural calculation packages for client submission and review.
