About the Role
The Associate Scientist will contribute to the development and optimization of drug substance processes by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in a regulated research environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments to support drug substance development
- Analyze and interpret scientific data for process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project goals
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records
- Support technology transfer activities to manufacturing sites
- Follow safety and compliance protocols in all operations
- Assist in troubleshooting technical challenges during development
- Participate in method development and optimization
- Contribute to process scale-up activities
- Prepare samples and perform analytical testing as needed
- Document experimental results in electronic laboratory notebooks
- Support regulatory filing activities with technical data
- Engage in team meetings and scientific discussions
- Adhere to quality standards in all laboratory work
- Assist in writing technical reports and summaries
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency
- Work under supervision while demonstrating initiative
- Utilize laboratory instrumentation for sample analysis
- Follow standard operating procedures rigorously
- Support lab maintenance and organization
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends
- Assist in training new team members
- Participate in risk assessment and mitigation planning
