Alcon Pharmaceuticals is looking for an Associate, Procurement Operations to manage the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services essential to our operations. You will play a key role in analyzing data and negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable procurement.
What You'll Do
- Procure, source, and negotiate the purchase of machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies.
- Compile and analyze statistical data to determine purchasing feasibility and establish price objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and evaluate opportunities to leverage material acquisitions.
- Track market data to stay informed on price trends and dynamics.
- Negotiate with suppliers, analyze their operations, and determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedule.
- Review proposals, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, and maintain necessary records.
- May prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.
What We're Looking For
- A proactive and driven individual with strong analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of supply risk mitigation, supplier market intelligence, and Ariba e-bidding.
- Ability to address issues assertively in a respectful and appropriate manner.
- Ability to organize and maintain an efficient filing system.
