Race Communications was looking for an Associate HR Generalist - Remote

Race Communications is hiring a remote Associate HR Generalist to coordinate and administer a wide range of human resources activities, from onboarding and compliance to benefits and employee relations. You’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth HR operations and a positive employee experience for our team, who are dedicated to connecting California communities with fiber internet.

What You'll Do

  • Administer company-wide HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state legal requirements.
  • Coordinate the entire employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, status changes, and offboarding processes.
  • Verify I-9 documentation, administer E-Verify, and track employment eligibility.
  • Manage employee leave programs, including FMLA and ADA, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related topics such as benefits, time and attendance, and policy questions.
  • Maintain employee files and data within ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the performance review process and coordinate the distribution of HR communications and projects.
  • Maintain required workplace postings and trackers for leaves of absence, workers compensation, and other HR metrics.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide backup administrative support.
  • Work closely with recruiting and other departments to facilitate hiring and ensure coordinated implementation of HR initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship and a minimum age of 18.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing leave of absence processes (FMLA, ADA).
  • Proven knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment/labor laws.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for HRIS management, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including expert-level skills in Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting the onboarding process, including preparing offer letters and conducting background checks.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English as the primary workplace language.
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications and functional use of common office equipment and software.

Nice to Have

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Spanish bilingual skills.
