Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design activities from initial feasibility through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
- Establish and verify power system architectures, including utility connections, medium and low voltage distribution, UPS configurations, generators, switchgear, power distribution units, static transfer switches, busway systems, grounding, and lighting.
- Conduct and oversee power systems analyses such as load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies using software like ETAP or SKM.
- Design and implement monitoring and control systems including building management, electrical power monitoring, and SCADA, along with metering and resilience strategies aligned with Tier II–IV availability standards.
- Incorporate decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures such as high-efficiency UPS systems, intelligent controls, heat recovery, demand response, renewable energy integration, and grid-interactive technologies.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant international and local standards including IEC, BS, EN, NEC, and NFPA, as well as client requirements and internal quality protocols.
- Manage coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, fire safety, security, and ICT disciplines to ensure fully integrated and cohesive project outcomes.
