About the Role

Lead a team of professionals in delivering innovative and sustainable highway solutions, from initial concept through to completion, while managing project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage highway infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet client needs and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in highway infrastructure.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure project quality and safety.
  • Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate highway projects with other infrastructure systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, incorporating them into project designs and delivery methods.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for highway projects.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control processes for highway projects.
  • Manage project procurement processes, including the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations, identifying lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies for highway projects, minimizing environmental impact.
  • Manage project communications, ensuring effective and timely information flow to all stakeholders.
  • Conduct traffic impact assessments and develop traffic management plans for highway projects.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans for highway projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage project closeout processes, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to clients.
  • Conduct public consultations and community engagement activities for highway projects.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage project change control processes, ensuring changes are documented and approved.
  • Conduct value engineering studies to optimize project costs and benefits.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in project management, such as PMP or Prince2.
  • Experience in using project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Experience in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Experience in using traffic simulation software, such as VISSIM or SIMULATION.
  • Experience in using environmental impact assessment software, such as EIMS or EIAPro.
  • Experience in using sustainability assessment software, such as GaBi or SimaPro.
  • Experience in using health and safety management software, such as HSEPro or SafetyNet.
  • Experience in using quality management software, such as ISO 9001 or QMSPro.
  • Experience in using value engineering software, such as VEPro or ValueEngine.
