McCormick is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to apply data science techniques, including AI and predictive modeling, to solve complex business challenges and innovate new ways of working. You will be instrumental in driving our digital transformation by translating data into actionable insights for global and regional teams.
What You'll Do
- Translate data and analytics into business insights by collaborating with global leaders and regional functional teams.
- Design workflows using AI and machine learning models.
- Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information for building analytic systems and increase automation.
- Build workflows with advanced algorithms and models such as OCR, Translation, and Generative AI to extract or transform data for business needs.
- Identify, process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Achieve project goals by applying disciplined planning, organizing, and resource management.
- Continuously seek industry best practices and develop new capabilities for data analytics at McCormick.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, or a related field.
- Advanced analytical skillset with proficiency in cleaning, visualizing, analyzing, and presenting insights from data sets.
- Demonstrated ability coding in one or more languages (Python preferred).
- Experience with data visualization software (Power BI preferred).
- Experience training and working with statistical/ML models and AI algorithms.
- Strong technical curiosity and passion for problem solving and innovation.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex information to internal audiences.
- Ongoing aspiration to learn about new industry tools.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to use a systemic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work with different regions and cultures.
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Experience with Cloud based tools (Azure preferred).
- Experience with an ERP system – SAP preferred.
- Technical knowledge for Data environments, transformation, and ML Ops.
- Ability to connect the dots between complex data/analytics and business application.
- Technical knowledge for backend development.
