Responsibilities
- Develop complex actuarial and medical economics models including trend calculations, reserving estimates, risk score calculations, risk assessments and savings analyses
- Develop actuarial and medical economic models used to forecast cost and utilization statistics
- Compile, organize, categorize, and analyze large data sets using SQL
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve business problems
- Work with various cross-functional teams including sales, data sciences, product development, and clinical services
- Make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach and work is performed with minimal or no direction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or similar background
Nice to Have
- Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation strongly preferred
- 5-10 years practical work experience preferred
- Python and Databricks proficiency strongly preferred
