Bank of America is hiring an Assistant Vice President; Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver software solutions that fulfill complex business requirements.
  • Ensure all software meets functional, non-functional, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Write code and unit tests, ensuring seamless integration into larger systems with reliable and well-documented interfaces.
  • Support story refinement processes and help define clear technical requirements.
  • Guide team estimation efforts for user stories and requirements across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Conduct research spikes or proof-of-concept work to reduce technical risk or explore innovation.
  • Implement code and testing solutions aligned with acceptance and compliance criteria.
  • Design using diverse architectural layers including data, application, and business domains.
  • Help resolve technical challenges encountered during story implementation.
  • Enhance existing test frameworks, including integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Review test outputs, detect failures or anomalies, and determine root causes.
  • Produce documentation for deployment, maintenance, support, and business operations.
  • Engage in and mentor others during CI/CD activities such as pull requests, branching, merging, triage, and release documentation.
  • Work remotely may be allowed if within commuting distance of the official worksite.
