Woolpert is hiring an Architectural Designer

Responsibilities

  • Create schematic designs, develop design concepts, and produce construction documentation, including modifying, reviewing, and finalizing technical drawings and project descriptions.
  • Investigate and assess building materials to identify suitable options based on project requirements.
  • Manage and oversee projects from initial planning phases through to construction oversight, ensuring coordination across all stages.
  • Evaluate construction submissions and support the project manager during construction administration processes.
  • Assess client needs and challenges, then formulate practical architectural responses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited 5-year program.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, with a focus on complex building design preferred.
  • Proven proficiency with design software including AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup, and PhotoShop.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across diverse teams and communication styles.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Possession of a Florida architectural license is advantageous.
  • LEED accreditation is considered a plus.
