Responsibilities
- Work closely with OEMs, providing guidance and technical solutions for both existing and new air-conditioning products.
- Support customers in the use of product selection software and system design simulators.
- Assist OEMs with the development and optimization of variable-speed air-conditioning systems, supporting testing, system balancing, and approval processes.
- Coordinate testing with the psychrometric lab and manage technical documentation such as catalogs, application bulletins, and manuals.
- Engage OEMs on alternate refrigerants and explore new application opportunities in the region.
- Provide inputs on regional efficiency standards and collaborate with marketing to influence standard bodies (AHRI, Eurovent, etc.).
- Lead NBO (New Business Opportunities) initiatives for air-conditioning products in MEA in close collaboration with Sales.
- Develop and manage a technical training calendar and create engaging, educational content.
- Deliver technical training sessions (including hands-on) for customers, focusing on air-conditioning systems, drives, and controllers.
- Manage tools, resources, and facilities for technical training programs.
- Manage OEM warranty claims and provide troubleshooting support for both production and field failures.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) through data logging, field visits, and compressor teardown analysis.
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants, providing feedback to improve product performance.
- Analyze and maintain warranty data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in HVAC design, projects, service, technical support, or training within the air-conditioning industry.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, HVAC systems, and variable-speed control systems.
- Technical expertise in troubleshooting and application support.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across multicultural teams.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and technical software tools.
- Willingness to travel across the MEA region.
- Ability to work outside typical office environments when required.
