The Application Engineer plays a central role in advancing engineered-to-order (ETO) projects by translating project specifications into actionable technical plans. Working closely with engineering teams, the engineer reviews requirements, identifies potential challenges early, and develops solutions that support efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering staff to assess project needs and recommend viable technical approaches
- Act as a primary point of contact for on-site manufacturing support, escalating technical issues when necessary
- Communicate with engineers to resolve field concerns, including updating bills of materials, CNC data, and electrical documentation
- Contribute to design improvements that streamline problem resolution and enhance system performance
- Supervise on-site tasks as directed by remote engineering personnel
- Track ETO projects from construction start to final delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Coordinate activities across departments to maintain workflow efficiency and project timelines
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline. At least one year of professional experience in an engineering environment is required.
Preferred skills include hands-on knowledge of Low or Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers and familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, UL, CSA, and IEC. Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and CREO Parametric is highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong written communication skills in English are essential. Spanish language ability is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role requiring presence at the company’s facility on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility for approved off-site obligations.
