About the Role
This role focuses on protecting cloud platforms and applications through proactive security measures, vulnerability management, and close collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure secure system design and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy security controls for cloud-based infrastructure and services
- Conduct security assessments of applications and cloud configurations
- Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in code and systems
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
- Implement and manage identity and access management policies
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and anomalous activity
- Support incident response efforts related to cloud and application security
- Develop automation scripts to enforce security compliance
- Perform regular configuration reviews of cloud resources
- Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead security reviews during system design and architecture planning
- Evaluate third-party tools and services for security posture
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cloud security threats
- Document security policies, procedures, and control implementations
- Provide guidance on secure coding practices to engineering teams
- Assist in penetration testing and red team exercises
- Enforce encryption standards for data at rest and in transit
- Troubleshoot security-related issues in production environments
- Promote a culture of security awareness across technical teams
- Work with compliance teams to support audit readiness
