Responsibilities
- Construct and manage scalable data models in Amazon Redshift to enable reporting, dashboards, and on-demand analysis.
- Work alongside data engineering teams to enhance and scale the analytics warehouse infrastructure.
- Define and uphold standards for database schema, naming, and data lineage tracking.
- Build, update, and refine data pipelines to deliver accurate and consistent data to business users.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and convert business questions into data solutions.
- Produce and maintain detailed data documentation, including metric definitions and data transformation rules.
- Support business intelligence platforms by preparing analytics-ready datasets and aiding in dashboard creation.
- Monitor data integrity and implement testing, alerts, and validation to ensure warehouse accuracy.
- Find ways to improve data access, consistency, and ease of use across departments.
- Champion analytics engineering best practices such as version control, code reviews, and repeatable workflows.
