Anglo American / De Beers Group is hiring an Analyst - Financial Reporting (9 month FTC)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in completing month-end close and financial reporting for Energy Solutions operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial data
  • Enhance financial reporting efficiency by correctly recording transactions, executing closing procedures, and preparing reconciliations
  • Adhere to established financial controls and accounting standards in all reporting activities
  • Partner with Risk, Shared Services, and Finance teams to develop and maintain strong control frameworks
  • Document core financial reporting processes to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Provide timely financial data to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Engage with Finance Business Partners to identify and fulfill data needs
  • Oversee systems and workflows to ensure accurate and efficient data capture and distribution
  • Coordinate the gathering of performance metrics from multiple sources
  • Produce monthly financial statements and recurring reports for business units and corporate finance
  • Maintain data integrity across systems to ensure traceability and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with business and corporate teams to align technical accounting rules with operational activity
  • Partner with Information Management to deploy tools that strengthen controls and automate processes
  • Challenge traditional finance methods by reducing manual entries and improving data quality
  • Define user requirements and manage user acceptance testing for finance systems
  • Ensure proper integration of accounting rules and controls during system rollouts
  • Develop performance metrics to monitor and improve team effectiveness
  • Foster a culture focused on continuous process enhancement
  • Strengthen controls while improving reporting speed and accuracy
  • Optimize integration between SAP, Aspect, HFM, Blackline, and other platforms
  • Refine system-based processes to reduce data entry and retrieval effort
  • Lead efforts to standardize and automate reporting through ongoing improvements
