d-Matrix is looking for an AI Software Architect Intern to help accelerate AI application performance at the intersection of hardware and software. You will contribute to the architecture of our next-generation inference accelerators, focusing on fundamental technologies and emerging workloads.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to features that power the next generation of inference accelerators for datacenters.
- Keep up with the latest research in ML architecture and algorithms and collaborate with design, verification, and software teams.
- Map machine learning algorithms into functional, performance specifications of key hardware units.
- Propose new features to enable or accelerate machine learning algorithms.
- Study the benefits of proposed features with system models (analytical, cycle-level) and generate software references.
What We're Looking For
- MS degree with 3+ years of experience or a PhD candidate with prior industry internship experience.
- A solid grasp through academic or industry experience in multiple relevant areas: computer architecture, hardware software codesign, performance modeling, and ML fundamentals (particularly DNNs).
- A self-motivated team player with a strong sense of collaboration and initiative.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with SoC design, bus protocols, memory interfaces, network-on-chip topologies, I/O and multi-device scalable systems.
- Programming fluency in C/C++ or Python, with familiarity with common ML frameworks like PyTorch.
- A research background with a publication record in top-tier architecture or machine learning venues (e.g., ISCA, MICRO, ASPLOS, HPCA, ICLR, NeurIPS).
