What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain agentic AI architectures and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for live product features
- Integrate large language models into key user flows including search, item categorization, messaging, and safety systems
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and software engineers to transition experimental models into reliable, production-ready services
- Build infrastructure and tooling that enables fast, secure, and observable deployment of LLM-powered capabilities
- Drive measurable improvements in conversion, user retention, and fraud detection by operationalizing data-driven AI features
- Work on advanced use cases such as automated marketplace agents, intelligent discovery systems, and structured output generation from language models
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience deploying machine learning or AI systems in production environments
- Strong background in Python development, including async programming with asyncio and data modeling using Pydantic
- Proven experience with RAG implementations—vector search, semantic chunking, and reranking strategies
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable tools, including function calling and tool integration
- Solid understanding of LLM APIs, prompt engineering techniques, and structured output parsing
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in cross-functional teams
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with LLMOps tools for evaluation (Ragas, DeepEval), observability (LangSmith, Arize Phoenix), or safety layers (NeMo)
- Cloud deployment experience, particularly on AWS
- Knowledge of graph-based retrieval systems or integration with knowledge graphs using Neo4j or FalkorDB
- Familiarity with advanced reasoning patterns like ReAct, Plan-and-Solve, or multi-agent coordination
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Bellevue, WA, with a remote option available for candidates residing in Florida. The role balances in-office collaboration with flexible remote work to support productivity and work-life balance.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, with additional equity granted based on experience and level. Employees receive 12 company holidays, 96 hours of sick leave annually (pro-rated based on start date), and a flexible vacation policy encouraging 3–5 weeks of pre-planned time off per year.
