Responsibilities
- Serve as a sales authority, guiding customer decisions to adopt AI and cloud technology, and act as a trusted advisor to field sales teams.
- Manage AI and cloud pipeline and bookings in the assigned region, collaborating with regional vice presidents to drive sourced and influenced pipeline.
- Meet and exceed AI and cloud-specific booking and consumption targets.
- Oversee and manage the sales forecast for the region.
- Generate additional revenue through use case adoption with existing and new customers by owning opportunities.
- Act as the primary AI and cloud sales specialist for key strategic and enterprise accounts.
- Lead AI-focused discovery sessions, whiteboard discussions, and value conversations with client stakeholders and business owners.
- Expand sales efforts beyond traditional IT to reach new AI and cloud buyers within businesses.
- Execute AI and cloud sales strategies end-to-end, utilizing key sales plays to secure meetings through targeted outreach and events.
- Design and sell funded pilots, including virtual hands-on labs, jumpstarts, and builder series.
- Convert pilots into production and incremental annual recurring revenue or consumption.
- Ensure every significant AI and cloud conversation results in clear next steps, such as workshops, pilots, or proof of value.
- Collaborate with systems engineers for technical validation, architecture sessions, and competitive analysis.
- Work with professional services to integrate delivery motions into every deal.
- Utilize cloud and field operations dashboards to monitor AI and cloud pipeline, pilots, wins, and consumption impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, cloud, or data sales, with a proven track record in complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Demonstrated ability to open, shape, and close deals in cloud, data, AI/ML, or analytics.
- Experience in managing and growing cloud consumption within a customer base or region.
- Strong prospecting skills to create new opportunities from account lists, partners, and existing customers.
- Field-friendly approach to collaborating with account executives, systems engineers, customer success managers, and partners.
- Executive-level communication skills to simplify complex ideas and connect AI to business outcomes.
- Hands-on knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including data warehousing, data engineering, data in motion, operational databases, and machine learning technologies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
