About the Role
This role bridges business priorities and enterprise IT execution in AI adoption, operating as a strategic partner to ensure secure, efficient, and low-friction activation of AI capabilities while transforming IT into a proactive, consultative function.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of the enterprise-wide AI activation strategy, including governance, platform integration, tooling, model deployment, and value optimization
- Evaluate and shape the current AI vendor and platform ecosystem to align with business objectives, security standards, and enterprise limitations
- Develop practical governance frameworks, operating models, and safeguards that support responsible AI use without impeding progress
- Create measurement systems to track AI usage, risk exposure, and opportunities for improvement across the organization and workforce
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, market shifts, and vendor roadmaps to guide strategic planning and maintain competitive edge
- Collaborate with business leaders to inform decision-making and align it with enterprise IT implementation
- Serve as a proactive advisor who anticipates improvements for colleagues rather than simply fulfilling requests
- Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to streamline processes within an appropriate risk framework
- Design and advocate for AI governance approaches that minimize process overhead and maximize adoption
- Balance innovation speed, security requirements, and operational agility in all decisions
- Promote a cultural shift in IT toward advisory, business-enabling behaviors
- Challenge outdated, control-focused practices that hinder innovation
- Influence stakeholders at all levels through credibility and collaboration, not authority
