AECOM is hiring an Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site Supervision)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and detailed site inspections and audits to detect potential hazards, safety breaches, and areas for enhancement
  • Create, execute, and oversee site-specific safety procedures, protocols, and programs
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-miss events thoroughly and transparently; document outcomes and propose data-supported corrective and preventive measures
  • Deliver effective safety training and educational initiatives to personnel at all levels, promoting lasting understanding and behavioral change
  • Ensure full adherence to UAE occupational health and safety laws, environmental regulations, and internal company policies
  • Keep accurate, well-organized records of safety documentation, reports, and audits for compliance and internal tracking
  • Work closely with site leadership and operational teams to embed safety practices into everyday workflows and decisions
  • Evaluate safety performance data and trends to detect new risks and initiate targeted, evidence-based improvements
  • Carry out in-depth hazard identification and risk analysis for new projects, processes, or equipment installations
  • Act as the main contact for safety-related issues, balancing empathy with firm enforcement; escalate urgent matters to senior leadership when necessary
  • Engage with external parties such as regulators, consultants, and industry partners as required
  • Supervise the correct use of personal protective equipment and safety gear on site, reinforcing a culture of responsibility
