Responsibilities
- Design intuitive graphical interfaces compliant with MIL-STD-1472, transforming intricate technical specifications into user-focused, safe, and efficient solutions
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and key stakeholders to refine system designs using established usability best practices
- Conduct interviews with domain experts and end users to develop personas, user journeys, and workflow models that guide design strategy
- Develop low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools throughout all stages of the design lifecycle
- Integrate principles of human factors and interaction design into visual and interface elements to enhance usability and accessibility
- Justify design choices with evidence-driven insights and communicate outcomes through clear reports and dynamic presentations to stakeholders
- Produce production-ready graphical assets, including icons and interface elements, and devise innovative workarounds when constraints occur
- Operate in a remote work setting; proximity to Pittsburgh, PA or Scottsdale, AZ is preferred; travel up to 20% may be required for team coordination and testing
