Responsibilities
- Run daily 3D printing operations using FDM, SLA, and SLS printers, managing print queues to meet engineering timelines.
- Prepare and refine print jobs by selecting optimal orientations, infill patterns, and materials based on part requirements.
- Operate CO2 and fiber laser cutters, adjusting settings for clean cutting and engraving across various materials.
- Configure nesting layouts and fine-tune laser parameters such as power, speed, and frequency for efficiency and precision.
- Perform post-print tasks including removing supports, washing, curing, sanding, and deburring to prepare parts for use.
- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and geometric correctness using measuring tools.
- Manage inventory of filaments, resins, sheet materials, and consumables with proper storage and drying procedures.
- Diagnose equipment issues, resolve print failures, and conduct regular calibration of fabrication machines.
- Work with engineers and prototype teams to prioritize jobs, identify production delays, and suggest design improvements.
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards by following EHS guidelines, including laser safety and ventilation protocols.
