Bank of New Zealand was looking for an Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will join The Cigna Group's European Accounting team in Glasgow as a summer intern starting in June 2025. You will support accounting and tax processes, contribute to data reporting initiatives, and collaborate across departments to optimize efficiencies and deliver meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

  • Accounting and tax processes - optimization & efficiencies
  • Work on individual and collaborative projects
  • Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse and propose enhancements (at department and organization level)
  • Manage specific underwriting requests in terms of data (drill-down)
  • Scope and Dimensions
  • Report to Finance/Tax Manager
  • Gain a knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the business
  • Requires coordination and integration with every department including: Actuarial, Underwriting, Reporting, Systems, Legal services, Operational teams

What We're Looking For

  • Must be studying a degree which is relatable to Accountancy, or Finance
  • Must be currently in 3rd year of your academic studies
  • Eligible for summer paid internships commencing in June 2025
  • High level of numeracy and problem-solving skills
  • Data analysis and business intelligence
  • Process optimization
  • Team worker with a can-do attitude
  • Decision making and influencing
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Communication skills – verbal and written
