Shape customer strategy in the evolving food ingredients space by serving as the primary liaison for bakery, bar, and confectionary clients. Based in New Century, KS, this remote role drives regional performance by aligning customer needs with innovative ingredient solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Develop in-depth knowledge of bakery industry dynamics and customer networks to guide strategic account planning
- Lead sales initiatives that support regional profit and revenue targets across the U.S.
- Collaborate with technical and innovation teams to deliver application expertise that meets client challenges
- Nurture relationships with key stakeholders—both internal teams and external partners—to strengthen market presence
- Use insights from customer interactions to inform product development and marketing alignment
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and represent the business in trade associations and industry forums
- Leverage CRM platforms like Salesforce.com to track progress and forecast opportunities
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in food science, bakery science, or a related life-science discipline, with at least five years of experience in sales or technical roles within the bakery or confectionary sector. Proven success in selling functional food ingredients and supporting technical marketing is essential.
- Strong background in sales execution, negotiation, and strategic planning
- Ability to translate complex technical details into clear customer benefits
- Experience working in matrixed environments with strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- AIB certification or direct experience with major CPG manufacturers is advantageous
