About the Role
The Patient Care Associate delivers and sets up medical equipment at patient homes, provides training on device use, and ensures continued care through regular follow-ups and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver oxygen therapy equipment to patients in their homes
- Assemble and install devices according to manufacturer and safety standards
- Train patients and caregivers on proper use of equipment
- Conduct safety checks during each patient visit
- Document service delivery and patient interactions accurately
- Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions
- Respond to service calls for urgent equipment needs
- Maintain inventory of supplies and devices in company vehicle
- Follow up with patients to assess ongoing care needs
- Communicate patient status updates to clinical supervisors
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines during home visits
- Troubleshoot technical issues on-site when possible
- Escalate complex equipment problems to technical support
- Maintain professional demeanor during patient interactions
- Drive company vehicle to multiple patient locations daily
- Complete required paperwork after each visit
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and patients
- Verify patient identity and prescription details before setup
- Educate patients on emergency procedures related to equipment
- Return used equipment and process for servicing as needed
- Participate in periodic training sessions
- Report any patient health concerns to clinical team
- Follow HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information
- Support quality improvement initiatives through feedback
Compensation
